What Is Rock Wool

Jun 10, 2021

Rock wool originated in Hawaii. After the first volcanic eruption on the island of Hawaii, the residents of the island found strands of melted soft rock on the ground. This is the rock wool fiber that humans initially recognized. The production process of rock wool is actually a simulation. In the natural process of Hawaii volcanic eruption, rock wool products use high-quality basalt and dolomite as the main raw materials. After being melted at a high temperature above 1450 ℃, they are centrifuged at high speed by an internationally advanced four-axis centrifuge to form fibers, and a certain amount of bonding is injected at the same time. The agent, dust-proof oil, and water-repellent agent are collected by a cotton collecting machine, through the pendulum method, plus the three-dimensional method of spreading the cotton, and then solidified and cut to form rock wool products of different specifications and uses.
