Rock wool board insulation is made of natural rocks such as basalt and dolomite. Natural rock melts in a cupola at a high temperature of about 1500°C. The lava is then poured into a high-speed spinning machine through which the melt enters the fiber. At the same time, the phenolic adhesive containing silicon and mineral oil is evenly sprayed on the surface of each fiber.
It is widely used in boilers, thermal processing equipment, ovens, power equipment, flues, chimneys, sound insulation of building walls, fire protection, roof insulation, and shipbuilding.
